Fans of the beloved space drama Space Brothers (宇宙兄弟) have reason to celebrate: all 99 episodes of the TV anime series and the anime film Space Brothers #0 are being broadcast free of charge on ABEMA, beginning July 17, 2026.
About Space Brothers
Based on the manga by Koyama Chuya, Space Brothers follows two brothers — Mutta, an older brother in his thirties who decides to chase his dream of becoming an astronaut, and Hibito, his younger brother who has already fulfilled that dream by setting foot on the Moon. The series is celebrated for its realistic portrayal of space exploration and its heartfelt, high-stakes drama, having sold a cumulative 35 million copies in print. It was adapted into a live-action film and TV anime in 2012, followed by the anime film Space Brothers #0 in 2014, which depicts a prequel story never covered in the original manga or TV series.
