The production team behind Star Detective Precure! — the 23rd main entry in the long-running Precure franchise — announced a new ending theme song and a set of new character visuals on Sunday.
Star Kiraring Forms and Future Form Revealed
Official visuals have been released for the Star Kiraring forms of Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, and Cure Arcana. The team also unveiled a visual for the Future Form of Cure Answer, which will appear in the upcoming theatrical film Eiga Meitantei Precure! (Star Detective Precure! The Movie).
Theme Songs
Ami Ishii performs the opening theme “Heart ni Hint! Meitantei Precure!” (Hint In My Heart! Star Detective Precure!). The previous ending theme, “Naze? Nazo?! ANSWER” (Why? Mystery?! ANSWER), was performed by Akane Kumada and Yūka Masui, and has now been replaced by the newly announced ending song.
Synopsis
The series follows Anna Akechi, a second-year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, a “companion fairy” named Pochitan appears and whisks her back in time from 2027 to 1999. There, she meets Mikuru Kobayashi, a fellow second-year student with dreams of becoming a great detective. When a group of Phantom Thieves begins stealing people’s most treasured belongings, the two girls transform into Precure detectives and use their powers of deduction to protect everyone’s smiles.

Star Detective Precure! has been airing since February 1 on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and affiliated channels at 8:30 a.m. JST. Crunchyroll streams the series across North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and CIS territories.
The theatrical film Eiga Meitantei Precure! is scheduled to open in Japan on September 18.
