Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket announced via X (formerly Twitter) on August 27 that manga author Ten Kashiwa and artist Kai Noshigami are teaming up for a brand-new series titled Utomare Kyūjo wa Ryūō ni Aisareru (The Ostracized Palace Maid is Loved by the Dragon King). The series is set to debut on the Magazine Pocket platform on September 4.
About Ten Kashiwa
Kashiwa is best known for adapting hi8mugi’s web novel My Little Sister Stole My Fiancé: The Strongest Dragon Favors Me And Plans To Take Over The Kingdom? into manga form. That series launched in Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG COMIC magazine in April 2019, with its 11th and final volume shipping in October 2025. Kadokawa also publishes the series in English through its Book Walker Global online service.
About Kai Noshigami
Noshigami previously collaborated with Hajime Isayama (Attack on Titan) and voice actor Yūki Kaji on a one-shot manga spinoff tied to Kaji’s “Soyogi Fractal” project, which was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his voice acting career. The one-shot, Shouwaru Otoko to AI no Theory, featured storyboards by Isayama, a story by Kaji, and art by Noshigami. It was published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in January 2025.
