The production team behind That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) Season 4 unveiled a new promotional video, key visual, and theme song artists for the season’s second part on Friday.
Part 2 Theme Songs
Daoko performs the new opening theme “TACTIC,” while Azusa Tadokoro handles the new ending theme “Hymnal.” For Part 1, Eir Aoi sang the opening theme “Esoragoto” (Pipe Dream) and CiON performed the ending theme “Katsubō” (Craving).
Season 4 Runs Five Cours
Season 4 is set for a total run of five cours (quarters of a year), with the first two cours airing back-to-back. Studio 8-Bit returns to animate the season, and Miho Okasaki reprises her role as protagonist Rimuru Tempest.
Tears of the Azure Sea Blu-ray Announced
The team also announced that the Blu-ray Disc for the second anime film, Gekijō-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Sōkai no Namida-hen (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea), will ship in Japan on September 25. The film opened in Japanese theaters on February 27, and Crunchyroll screened it in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland on May 1 in both subtitled and English-dubbed formats.
Franchise Background
Fuse originally serialized the story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website from 2013 to 2016, accumulating over 400 million page views. Micro Magazine has been publishing the light novel series with illustrations by Mitz Va since 2014. The novel series concluded with its 23rd and final volume on November 29, released alongside a spinoff side-story volume titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Toaru Kyūka no Sugoshi-kata. A new spinoff novel series is planned, with its first part slated for 2026. Yen Press publishes the novels in English.
