Yashiro Station on the Shinarailway line in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture — the real-world setting of original TV anime “Turkey!” — is set to adopt the show’s opening theme as its official station melody (駅メロ, ekimero).
The melody, which will play upon a train’s arrival, is the opening theme “Hyakunichisou.” It will be accompanied by a station-name announcement voiced by Mai, a character played by voice actress Hishikawa Kana. The new station melody goes into effect on September 19.
About Turkey!
Turkey! is an original TV anime following five high school girls who are members of their school’s bowling club and suddenly find themselves transported back to Japan’s Sengoku (Warring States) period.
Since its 2025 broadcast debut, the series has collaborated extensively with local businesses and products in the region, drawing large numbers of fans to visit its real-life filming locations. Even nearly a year after the show’s run ended, these community tie-ins have continued, with the anime’s estimated economic impact on the region reaching approximately 78 million yen.
