The Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise announced on Saturday a brand-new short anime titled Umayuru Full Gate!, which will be available to stream on the franchise’s official YouTube channel following each broadcast of PakaLive TV starting in September. A teaser visual for the short was also revealed alongside the announcement.
About the Short Anime
Produced by animation studio AtoriE, the three-minute short will bring together all the Uma Musume girls to compete in races, making it a full-roster celebration of the franchise’s cast.

The Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise centers on “Uma Musume” — girls gifted with extraordinary running ability who aspire to become top idols while competing in the national sports-entertainment event known as the “Twinkle Series.” Players take on the dual role of teacher and trainer at the Nihon Uma Musume Training Center Gakuen (Japan Horse Girls Training Center Academy), guiding the girls toward their debut.
Game History and Awards
The Uma Musume Pretty Derby mobile game launched on iOS and Android in February 2021, having been delayed from its originally planned winter 2018 release in order to improve quality. A PC version via DMM Games followed in March 2021. On June 26, 2025, the game officially launched in English on iOS and Android. The title also took home the Best Mobile Game award at The Game Awards 2025 last December.

The most recent anime entry in the franchise, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, aired over two cours with a break in between, running from April to December 2025.
