Story and Highlights
Vertex Force is a fully original work with no manga or novel source material. The story follows Akira Azuma, a middle-school student living in northern Okinawa, and his older sister Haruka, who secretly inherited a mysterious power from their father known as the “Engine.”
When a worldwide network blackout called the “Power Down” strikes, a red glow appears on Haruka’s forehead — the same phenomenon that once occurred to their father when the entity known as EDVA threatened Earth. Akira, who did not inherit his father’s power, has long felt inadequate living in his sister’s shadow. Episode 2 hints that he may possess a hidden ability of his own, drawing the attention of newcomers Eleanor Northbrook and Lala Südenstein.
The series is produced by SMDE, the studio behind the 3DCG work on the Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion franchise, and features mecha design by Kanetake Ebikawa and ENIA design by JNTHED.
