The summer 2026 anime Youjo Senki II (幼女戦記II) has released the synopsis and advance preview cuts for Episode 2, “A Strange Friendship (奇妙な友情)”, set to air on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
About Youjo Senki
Youjo Senki is a military fantasy adapted from the novel series by Carlo Zen, published by KADOKAWA, with cumulative series sales now exceeding 12 million copies. The story follows a rationalist elite salaryman reincarnated in another world as a golden-haired, blue-eyed young girl, Tanya Degurechaff (CV: Aoi Yūki). Despite her innocent appearance, she rises to become a feared elite mage officer known as the “Devil of the Rhine.” The series is celebrated for its authentic aerial combat sequences. The first TV anime season aired in 2017, followed by a theatrical film in 2019.
Youjo Senki II — Season Two
The second season is directed by Takayuki Yamamoto and produced by studio NUT. Set in autumn of Unified Calendar year 1926, Lieutenant Colonel Tanya von Degurechaff is appointed commander of the newly formed Salamander Combat Group. Though the unit looks formidable on paper, it is in reality little more than a hastily assembled collection of troops. Compounding the crisis, an early winter descends on the Federation far sooner than expected, leaving the Empire mired in a seemingly inescapable quagmire. Every nation seeks a decisive, overwhelming victory to end the war — yet no one truly understands what they are wishing for, or what it will ultimately cost. Against all odds, Tanya remains at the turbulent front lines.
Episode 2: “A Strange Friendship”
With the onset of winter, supply conditions on the Eastern Front deteriorate even further. The Salamander Combat Group, already engaged in daily defensive battles, finds itself severely weakened by guerrilla-style raids on its supply lines.

Episode 2 airs on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and TV Aichi. The full series began broadcasting on July 8, 2026, with the following schedule:
