Season 1 Staff
Notably, the anime credits Kairi‘s manga adaptation — rather than Suisei‘s original light novel — as its source material. Yasutaka Yamamoto (Medalist, Servant × Service) served as chief director, while Tomonori Mine (Isekai Onsen Paradise) directed the season at studio Gekkō.
Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, No Guns Life) handled series composition and script writing. Mina Ōsawa (The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits) adapted character designs from illustrator La-na‘s originals for animation. Music was composed by Satoru Kōsaki (BEASTARS, The Apothecary Diaries) and MONACA, with Ryō Aizawa producing for Starry Cube.
Season 1 Broadcast
The first season premiered on January 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, with additional broadcasts on HBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, AT-X, and BS11. Crunchyroll streamed the series worldwide, excluding most of Asia but including India and the Indian Subcontinent.
About the Source Material
Suisei originally launched the light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website in 2013. Futabasha began publishing the series in print with illustrations by La-na in October 2014, releasing the third volume in August 2015. Kairi’s manga adaptation launched on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website in 2021.
