Cast Comments

Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (Wantong)

Wantong is exactly the kind of character I love — you want to dislike him but somehow can’t. He’s in a tricky position, but I’d like to think he’s not fundamentally a bad person. He has a sense of loyalty and carries burdens of his own. As the story unfolds, those layers will come undone, so please don’t write him off at first glance!

M·A·O (Wan Guifei)

Each of the cats is so full of personality — just watching their graceful, adorable forms makes me happy. Wan Guifei gives off a cold impression from her expressions and bearing, but I’ll do my best to convey the compassion hidden within her as well.

Koichi Makoto (Crown Prince)

The cats are endlessly cute, yet so cool and powerful in battle — the visual beauty is captivating. The Crown Prince I’m playing is diligently studying for the sake of his country, but he’s still at an age where he needs a bit of guidance. Look forward to seeing how he fits into the story!

Tachibana Shinnosuke (Ubyou)

I’ve kept a Norwegian Forest Cat since I was young, so I’m thrilled to be part of a show overflowing with cats! Ubyou is a character with layers and a dark aura — I’ll work to bring that across in my performance.

Yamanaka Mahiro (Chenghua Emperor)

It’s a great honor to appear in a work set against the backdrop of the Forbidden City. The animation is stunning — the cats are adorable, and the action scenes are breathtaking. I hope many people get to enjoy it!

Nakamura Genta (Ryoushou)

People always ask “dogs or cats?” — and I’m here to declare loudly: I’m a cat person! This show is packed with cats doing amazing things, and the story is genuinely gripping. Whether you’re a cat person, a dog person, or neither — please watch!

Hayami Sho (Black Owl)

It’s a story drenched in cats — a dream for any cat lover. But don’t be fooled; this isn’t a cozy, fluffy world. There’s real fighting and real missions. And my character, by the way, is the villain.

Yazuna Riko (Theme Songs)

I’m deeply honored to handle both the opening and ending themes. The opening depicts the cats’ dignified resolve as they fight for their mission, while the ending shows their adorable daily lives. I’m confident both songs offer their own distinct appeal. I hope the music carries viewers from the very first scene to the last.
