About 86―Eighty-Six―
86―Eighty-Six― is a light novel series written by Asato Asato with illustrations by Shirabi, published under the Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA) label since February 2017. The story centres on Shin, a young soldier branded with the “Eighty-Six” stigma and denied recognition as a human being, and Lena, a talented young female officer of the Republic — two people bound together by fierce, bittersweet battles and an unbreakable connection. A manga adaptation launched in Young Gangan in 2018, and a TV anime produced by A-1 Pictures aired its first cour in April 2021 and its second cour in October 2021.
