The first volume of 「生贄姫の幸福 ～孤独な贄の少女は、魔物の王の花嫁となる～」 (Ikenie Hime no Koufuku — The Happiness of the Sacrificial Princess: The Lonely Offering Girl Becomes the Demon King’s Bride) by Yui Madoka officially went on sale on June 8 under Overlap’s Gardo Comics f label. The manga is adapted from the original novel by Hana Amesaki.
Synopsis
Lydia is a girl raised to become a sacrifice to the King of Darkness. She has been taught all her life that offering her body for her nation is the greatest happiness. Cut off from the outside world and living alone deep in the forest, she has never once questioned her fate.
When the decisive day arrives, a magic circle opens and Louis appears: a terrifying yet beautiful demon king who looks like he stepped out of a painting. While everyone around her trembles in fear, Lydia alone happily offers up her own body, hoping only that he will “eat” her deliciously.
But the demon king’s reaction is not what she expected. He awkwardly responds with surprise at the idea of eating her and tells her that a young girl should not say such things in front of others.
A Mismatched Love Fantasy
This marks the beginning of a strange romantic fantasy between a sacrificial princess who wants to give herself to the demon king and a pure-hearted demon king who has no idea how to handle the situation. Though the two seem completely mismatched, that contrast becomes a compelling attraction.
