The My Hero Academia (僕のヒーローアカデミア) anime is teaming up with the Japan national football team SAMURAI BLUE for a special collaboration project that dresses beloved characters in national team kits and launches a variety of goods and replica jerseys.
Origin of the Special Collaboration
My Hero Academia is the action manga by Kohei Horikoshi, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is set in a world where people possess superhuman abilities known as “Quirks” (個性). The series has now surpassed 100 million copies in total circulation.
The TV anime began airing in 2016 and concluded with its FINAL SEASON in December 2025, totaling eight seasons and 170 episodes. It stands as one of the longest-running and most popular anime series of its era.
Characters Wear Samurai Blue in Exclusive New Artwork
To mark the 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime, popular characters Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Shota Aizawa, and Hawks appear in newly drawn exclusive artwork. Each character wears a Japan national football team kit inspired by the SAMURAI BLUE design.
The artwork will be used for multiple types of merchandise, including:
