The TV anime 「これ描いて死ね」 (Kore Kaite Shine), adapted from the original manga by Minoru Toyoda, has officially released its second main PV. It was also announced that “Conifer,” a newly written song by Regal Lily, will serve as the series’ ending theme.
Second PV: Exploring Teshima-sensei’s Past
This PV focuses on scenes from the flashback story titled “Lost World,” which depicts the past of Rei Teshima. Although she strictly trains the protagonist, she herself was once deeply absorbed in creating manga. The video also marks the first animated appearances of Hana Kongoji, Teshima’s former manga editor, and Hebijika-sensei, a famous manga artist. “Conifer” plays throughout the PV.
About the Story
Kore Kaite Shine follows Ai, a first-year high school student who loves manga, and her growth through both the joy and pain of creating work. The “manga × high school girls” anime will air on Nippon TV in the “Fla Ani” programming block every Friday at 11:30 p.m., beginning July 3, 2026, across 30 stations nationwide in Japan.

Honoka Takahashi (vocals / guitar): Takahashi said she heard the energy created by one manga from the perspectives of teachers, students, things already encountered, and things yet to be seen, and shaped that feeling into the song. She hopes it can push listeners forward, whether on lonely nights, quiet mornings, or during the day.
Umi (bass): Umi said the feeling of being so absorbed in something that one does not know what to do, yet still finds it strangely fun, reminded her of playing music with others for the first time. She said the work beautifully reflects both the joy and pain of creation beyond manga alone, and hopes the ending theme gently embraces the lovable characters in every episode.
