A new set of 14 stills from the live-action Blue Lock (ブルーロック) film has been officially revealed. The images capture the tense, high-pressure atmosphere of the battles inside the blue prison.
Stills Reveal Every Side of the Fight in Blue Lock
The newly released images cover several key scenes, including members of Team Z led by Yoichi Isagi as they face the harsh trials inside Blue Lock, as well as rival teams V, W, X, and Y standing in their way.
One highlight is a shot of Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage, the two kings of Building 5, radiating a commanding presence on the field. Teruhiko Baro is also shown striking a pose that declares himself the “king” of the field. Another still shows Team Z and Team V facing off tensely in the cafeteria, nearly coming to blows.
The images also show moments in which Isagi, Chigiri, and Kunigami acknowledge one another’s abilities and commit themselves to training for a higher level. There is also a scene of Jinpachi Ego and his close assistant Anri Teieri observing all the players from the control room.
Behind-the-Scenes Content Launches on YouTube
The film’s official YouTube channel has also launched two new content series: “BLUELOCK ULTIMATE BACKSTAGE”, which goes behind the scenes of the film’s publicity work, and “BLUELOCK.LAB”, in which the cast members play researchers and test various skills themselves. The first episode of BLUELOCK ULTIMATE BACKSTAGE reveals both the making of the visual shoot and the production press conference.
Synopsis and Release Information
The live-action Blue Lock film is adapted from the original manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. It follows Yoichi Isagi, an unknown high school soccer player selected for the Blue Lock project, where he must defeat 299 other rivals to become the world’s best striker.
The film is scheduled to open across Japan on August 7, 2026.
