Synopsis
In a kingdom inspired by ancient China, five great families send beautiful maidens to compete for the position of crown princess, and only one can be crowned empress. Kou Reirin, a fragile beauty known as the “Butterfly of the Court,” seems to be the leading candidate. But when Shu Keigetsu, the “Rat of the Court,” attacks her on the night of a beautiful lantern festival, Reirin wakes up in a dungeon. Her body has been swapped in a plot to steal her place, and her fate seems hopeless. But Reirin herself sees things differently. Now that she has a stronger body, even execution may not be enough to stop her.
