Volume 1 of the manga Shirohebi no Kasshoku: Ikenie no Otome wa Kodoku na Hebigami ni Totsugu went on sale on June 10 from Shogakukan.
The manga adapts the original light novel by Hiro Sakuragawa, with artwork by Kanchi. It is currently serialized in Yawaraka Spirit.
Story
Ten years ago, a girl named Boro was abandoned by her traveling performer parents and taken in by the Terawaki family, local landowners. Life at the estate is harsh. After displeasing her masters, she is expelled and flees to a shrine, where she meets a mysterious young man crying alone. The two share a brief but warm moment together.
After returning to the estate, Boro learns a shocking truth: she has been prepared as a sacrifice to the snake god in a ritual held only once every 60 years. On the day of the ceremony, she is offered to the god, but when she opens her eyes again, death is not waiting for her. Instead, the young man she met at the shrine asks her to marry him.
