The official website for the Grand Blue Dreaming TV anime, based on the manga by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, released the third promotional video on Thursday. The video confirms the official premiere date and several new details.
Broadcast Date and Channels
Season 3 begins airing on July 6 on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 24:00 JST, effectively midnight on July 7. MBS will follow on July 7, and AT-X on July 9.
Theme Songs
The promotional video features the opening theme “Natsuko” by FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY’S and reveals the ending theme “Hadaka no Mermaid”, or “Naked Mermaid,” performed by girl group MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN. The ending theme is produced by comedian and entertainer Kuro-chan.

New Palau Setting
Season 3 takes the cast outside Japan for the first time, setting the story in Palau. This marks a major change for the series.

Season 2 ended with episode 12 in September 2025. Earlier in July, the entire season had leaked online, and the leaked final episode mentioned season 3.
The original manga began in Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine in April 2014. The first TV anime adaptation premiered in July 2018 and streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. A live-action film opened in Japan in August 2020. The story follows Iori Kitahara, a college student who moves alone to a seaside town and finds an unexpected student life full of diving, parties, and chaotic friends.
