Aniplex, A-1 Pictures, and Psyde Kick Studio have released a second set of television commercials and a new main visual for their original anime project Grow Up Show: Himawari no Circus-dan (Grow Up Show: The Sunflower Circus Troupe). The ads confirmed the anime’s theme song artists and its premiere date.

Theme Songs

The commercials come in two versions — one for each theme song. The opening theme is titled “Yurari Yureru”, performed by the duo NOMELON NOLEMON, while the ending theme “DAYS!” is handled by the unit Aooo.

Premiere Details

The series will debut on July 4 at 24:00 (effectively midnight into July 5) on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other channels. In Japan, ABEMA and d Anime Store will stream the series first, with additional platforms to follow.

Story

Set against the backdrop of Japan’s postwar economic boom in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the story takes place in an era when the circus reigns as one of the country’s most beloved forms of entertainment. Rival troupes travel across Japan, competing for a coveted spot in the prestigious international event known as the “Circus Collection.”

Among them is the Sunflower Circus, led by ringmaster Maria. Despite persistent financial hardship, the troupe presses on — until they encounter a remarkably gifted young performer named Mizuka Tsurumaki. The series follows the one-of-a-kind circus show built by a group of young girls chasing their biggest dreams.
