TV anime Dōmo, Suki na Hito ni Horegusuri wo Irareta Majo desu. (lit. “Hi, I’m the Witch Who Was Asked for a Love Potion by Her Crush”) has been officially confirmed to premiere in October 2026. Alongside the announcement, the production released the first teaser PV and revealed the two main voice cast members.

About the Source Material

The series originates from a light novel written by Mutsuhana Eiko, published under Futabasha’s M Novels f imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kamada is also available from FLOS COMIC / KADOKAWA. The combined series has surpassed one million copies in circulation.

Story

Roze is a witch who lives by a lake and has long harbored secret feelings for Hariju, a knight. One day, Hariju approaches her with a single request: brew him a love potion — for someone else. Faced with the reality that she is not the one he loves, Roze suffers a quiet heartbreak. Unable to refuse him, she resolves to stay by his side for as long as it takes to complete the potion, clinging to the bittersweet time they share. It is a melancholy love story between a clumsy, reclusive witch and a diligent, caring knight — two people whose feelings for each other remain unspoken.

Teaser PV and Main Cast

The newly released teaser PV marks the first look at the anime’s visuals, depicting the poignant romance between Roze and Hariju in animated form.

  • Roze — voiced by Mikako Komatsu
  • Hariju — voiced by Yohei Azaue

Comments from the Cast and Director

Mikako Komatsu (as Roze)

“The day of my audition, everything had been going wrong since morning — I headed to the studio feeling pretty defeated. But by the time I left, that gloom had lifted into something bright and clear, like sunshine after rain. This story cast a spell on me completely. When I read the original novel, my fingertips tingled with a sweet excitement holding the book. I hope that same feeling reaches everyone who watches the anime.”

Yohei Azaue (as Hariju)

“Honestly, I didn’t feel very confident at the audition. The atmosphere of the source material felt almost too beautiful for someone as rough around the edges as me. But once I understood the very human side of Hariju, those worries disappeared entirely. Above all, Roze as voiced by Komatsu-san is just so endearing! I’ve come to feel that if Hariju can simply respond to her with sincerity, the story will come together naturally. I’m really enjoying the recording sessions now — please look forward to it!”

Keizo Kusakawa (Director)

“This work is a story of mutual unrequited love between the witch Roze and the nobleman Hariju, with a love potion at its center. It’s my first time directing a romance, so I’m genuinely excited to be working in uncharted territory. I’m wrestling day and night with how to translate the emotional core of the source material into animation. I hope viewers will feel their hearts racing and aching as they follow the two leads — please cheer us on.”
