The TV anime Hanaori-san wa Tensei Shitemo Kenka ga Shitai has announced that Uchida Maaya will voice Tsumugina Meru (紬奈愛琉), a mysterious girl described as holding the key to the story’s central mystery. The announcement came alongside the release of the series’ second promotional video and official opening and ending theme information.
Story Overview
Based on the manga by Hikawa Hekiru, serialized in Kodansha’s Morning Two, the series is a romantic comedy following Narugami Ryusei — a shut-in gamer who was secretly a Demon Lord in another world — and Hanaori Meteor, the hero who once defeated him, now living as an ordinary high school girl. Former enemies in their past lives, the two find themselves entangled in a battle of a different kind: love.
Second PV Highlights
The newly released second PV packs in action sequences between Ryusei and Meteor, sharp and fast-paced banter, and comedic slice-of-life moments. It also hints at a deeper, more personal connection between the two leads that goes beyond their rivalry. Both the opening and ending themes can be heard briefly in the video.
Theme Songs
The opening theme is 「ハイメンテナンスガール」(High Maintenance Girl) performed by Oishi Masayoshi, while the ending theme is 「ベリーグッド・エンカウント」(Very Good Encounter) performed by Uchida Maaya, who also voices Tsumugina Meru in the series.
