Bandai Namco has announced Gakuen Idol Master Wafer 4 (学園アイドルマスター ウエハース4), a new collectible wafer candy set scheduled to hit candy sections at mass-market retailers across Japan in November 2026, priced at ¥176 (tax included).
About Gakuen Idol Master
Gakuen Idol Master — affectionately shortened to Gakumas by fans — is the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s long-running The Idolm@ster franchise. Launched as a mobile game on May 16, 2024, it casts players as a producer enrolling in the idol training school “Hatsuhoshi Gakuen,” where they nurture a roster of aspiring idols, each with their own charms and personal struggles. Since launch, the title has expanded into CDs, merchandise, and live events.
What’s Inside Wafer 4
The highlight of this set is a collection of newly drawn card illustrations featuring idols such as Hanami Saki dressed in outfits inspired by the vanilla cream wafer included in each pack. The designs carry a sweet, confectionery aesthetic that matches the treat inside.
Each card takes the form of a metallic placard, giving it a premium, high-quality finish that should satisfy collectors aiming to complete the full set. There are 29 varieties in total to collect.
