Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo has announced a special concept room stay plan themed around the hit anime Ranma ½, available from July 25 to October 24, 2026. Centered on the theme of “A Shōwa-era Summer,” the plan recreates the atmosphere of the Tendo family home from the series.
About Ranma ½
Ranma ½ is a martial-arts romantic comedy manga by Rumiko Takahashi — the creator behind Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, Kyōkai no RINNE, and MAO — serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from issue 36 of 1987 through issue 12 of 1996. The all-new anime adaptation, produced by MAPPA under director Kōnosuke Uda, launched its first season in October 2024. A major talking point was the return of the original voice cast, including Kappei Yamaguchi as Ranma (male), Megumi Hayashibara as Ranma (female), and Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendo. Season 2 aired on Nippon TV from October 2025, and Season 3 is set to begin broadcasting in October of this year.
The Concept Room Experience
The guest room is decorated to evoke the living room of the Tendo household, adorned with character artwork from both the Tendo and Saotome families. The theme extends beyond the main room — even the changing area features beloved characters — ensuring the world of Ranma ½ surrounds guests throughout their stay.
Specially commissioned new artwork has also been created for this collaboration, depicting Ranma (male), Ranma (female), Akane, and Shampoo enjoying handheld fireworks in the Tendo family garden, perfectly capturing the feel of a Japanese summer evening.

For guests who want the exclusive amenities without the themed room, this plan is available in Semi-Double, Twin B, and Triple rooms on the Sunshine Floor (26F–32F). Pricing varies by date and number of guests.
Collaboration Drinks
Available at Café & Dining Chef’s Palette (1F) from July 25 to October 25, 2026. No reservation required, and open to all visitors — not just hotel guests staying on the concept room plan.
