The official website for Mebius Dust — Dōga Kōbō’s original television anime based on Hajime Shinagawa‘s story of the same name — has unveiled five new cast members, the majority of whom portray members of the dangerous, trouble-making group Diabolic Ghost.
New Diabolic Ghost Cast
- Kanon Amane as Sora, the group’s younger sister figure
- Kenshō Uesugi as Haoyū, a dangerous guy who is always charged with electricity
- Shōta Hayama as Taiyō, a mischievous and wild delinquent
- Kō Bonkobara as Kōhei, a big guy who likes to bully the weak
The fifth new addition is Genta Nakamura, who voices Himizu, an employee of the Meteor Ark Corporation.
Previously announced cast members Satsumi Matsuda (Kurusu) and Shiori Mikami (Spica) are also members of Diabolic Ghost.
Story
ASMIK Ace describes the anime as follows: Araki, Stella, and Olga are high school students living in a cozy downtown neighborhood. Playing games, visiting the bathhouse, and heading home — this is the story of their everyday lives… or is there more to it?

Tarou Iwasaki (Baki the Grappler, Bibliophile Princess, One Week Friends) is directing at Dōga Kōbō, with Yoriko Tomita (The Elusive Samurai, My Dress-Up Darling both seasons, Senpai is an Otokonoko) handling series scripts. Leo Ieiri performs the opening theme “Mebius” and Ai Tomioka performs the ending theme “Dilemma.”

Premiere & Streaming
Mebius Dust premieres on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji on July 9, and on MBS on July 10. The series will run for one cour. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
Project Anima Background
Mebius Dust is the third anime to emerge from the Project Anima contest, which solicited story submissions from the public via platforms such as DeNA’s MangaBox and Everystar. Shinagawa’s story won the “Kids/Game” category in 2019, with production originally slated for after 2020.
The contest’s “Science-Fiction/Robot” winner gave rise to the Sakugan anime (October 2021), while the “Isekai/Fantasy” grand prize winner — Yuzuki Akasaka’s Mahō Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi — was adapted by J.C. Staff and premiered in October 2024.
