Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam (機動戦士ガンダム) now have a chance to own a piece of the iconic Red Comet’s wardrobe. Premium Bandai, the official online store of the Bandai Namco Group, has opened pre-orders for a replica of Char Aznable‘s sunglasses and a matching scene-cut glasses stand, both listed under the Standbancore! – BANDAI FASHION COLLECTION – label.
Char Aznable’s Sunglasses — Faithful Replica from Episode 12
The sunglasses are modelled as closely as possible after the pair worn by Char Aznable in episode 12 of the TV anime. Two versions are available:
- Standard version — a clean reproduction of the original design.
- Gihren Zabi Print Ver. — features an image of Gihren Zabi as he appears on television during that same scene, printed directly onto the lenses for maximum screen accuracy.
Both versions carry subtle Char-themed details: his Personal Mark is engraved on the temple tip, and the text “Char Aznable” is inscribed along the temple arm — wearable flair for everyday use. Each set ships with a dark-red glasses case and a lens-cleaning cloth.
Scene-Cut Glasses Stand
Alongside the sunglasses, a Char Aznable Glasses Stand made from acrylic uses a scene cut from the same episode 12 moment as its design. It measures approximately W180 × H210 mm, is manufactured in Japan, and is intended for ages 15 and up.
