The 10th anniversary project for the TV anime Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) has revealed a commemorative illustration titled “Mumei Ranman,” drawn by original character designer Mikimoto Haruhiko.
The illustration depicts the heroine Mumei dressed in vivid, colourful attire, showcasing her growth over the years since the series first aired. Mikimoto commented:
“Since it had been quite a while since I last drew Mumei, I went through a considerable number of rough sketches to find the right pose for this 10th-anniversary figure (laughs). I’m not entirely sure how much time has passed within the story, but Mumei’s growth reflects exactly the number of years fans have been waiting for this reunion. I hope everyone enjoys ‘Mumei Ranman’ with that in mind — and I wonder just how much more grown-up she’ll be by the time we meet again…?”
Scale Figure and Special Movie
A scale figure based on the “Mumei Ranman” illustration — titled Koutetsujou no Kabaneri Mumei Ranman Scale Figure [Mumei] — has been announced, with a release scheduled for June 2027.
To celebrate the figure’s announcement, director Araki Tetsuro gathered the original production staff to create a special commemorative movie. Voice cast members Hatanaka Yu (Ikoma) and Senbongi Sayaka (Mumei) also shared comments on the occasion.

The illustration, special movie, and upcoming figure are all part of the ongoing Koutetsujou no Kabaneri 10th anniversary project.
