TOKYO MX has a double bill lined up for PreCure fans on August 9. The evening kicks off at 7:00 PM with the theatrical anime film Yes! PreCure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibouken!, followed at 8:20 PM by a special program spotlighting the ongoing Meitantei PreCure! experience event in Ikebukuro.
Yes! PreCure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibouken!
Originally released in theaters in 2007, this film is the theatrical entry for Yes! PreCure 5, the fourth installment in the long-running PreCure franchise. The story follows Nozomi Yumehara and her friends on what was supposed to be a fun outing to a Western-style theme park — until Coco and Nuts, dressed as nobles, are kidnapped and dragged into the mysterious “Mirror World.” When the girls set out to rescue them, they come face to face with PreCure warriors who are their exact doubles.
Special Program: Meitantei PreCure! Hanamaru Kaiketsu Festival
The special program airing at 8:20 PM takes viewers inside the immersive event Meitantei PreCure! Issho ni Nazotoki! Hanamaru Kaiketsu Festival!, currently running at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. Three guests will explore the event alongside young PreCure fans:
- Aoi Onishi (大西葵) — member of idol group ≒JOY and a self-professed PreCure enthusiast
- Yuka Masui (増井優花) — performer of the ending theme for Meitantei PreCure!
- Naemaru — MC of Bandai’s information program BANDAI MANIA! (Banmani!)
Together with children attending the event, the trio will take on mystery-solving challenges, pose for photos in PreCure costumes, and enjoy other hands-on activities. After the broadcast, Bandai’s official YouTube channel will release an extended version featuring additional footage that didn’t make it into the TV program.

“It was so much fun — I got to try so many different things! Solving puzzles, watching the stage show, taking photos, and even doing Petapeta-yaki at the end. The day flew by. I’ve always loved PreCure, and working on something related to it has been a dream of mine, so this truly felt like a dream come true. I’m sure anyone who watches this program will want to come to the event themselves!”

“At the Hanamaru Kaiketsu Festival, we all worked together to complete three missions — it was a blast! There are sets that make you feel like you’ve stepped right into the world of Meitantei PreCure!, and plenty of puzzles that both kids and adults can enjoy together. You can even watch a stage show featuring the Meitantei PreCure! characters! I’ll be appearing on stage for six days — let’s make some wonderful summer memories together in Ikebukuro!”
