The TV anime Sasaki to Pii-chan (佐々木とピーちゃん) Season 2 has announced that its first episode will air as a one-hour special. Ahead of the broadcast, a free public preview screening of the episode will be held on September 22, 2026.
Preview Screening Details
The event takes place at animate hall BLACK on the 9th floor of Animate Ikebukuro Main Store in Tokyo. Doors open at 12:15 p.m. with the screening beginning at 1:00 p.m. Voice actors Tomokazu Sugita (Sasaki) and Aoi Yuki (Pii-chan) will appear on stage at the event.
How to Attend
Fans with the surname “Sasaki” (佐々木) can register through a dedicated early-access sign-up — the “Sasaki Priority Registration” — which opened on August 10. Everyone else can pick up a participation ticket at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store starting September 1.
About the Series
Sasaki to Pii-chan is a fantasy anime following an ordinary salaryman named Sasaki, who buys a Java sparrow named Pii-chan from a pet shop — only to discover the bird is actually a legendary sage reincarnated from another world. Their bond allows Sasaki to travel between his world and the fantasy realm. Season 2 is scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2026.
