To celebrate Japan’s Mountain Day (山の日) national holiday, streaming platform ABEMA is hosting a free, non-stop marathon of the TV anime series Yuru Camp△ (Laid-Back Camp). The event kicks off at midnight on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, broadcasting all three seasons — a total of 37 episodes plus one OVA — on ABEMA’s Daily Life & Youth Anime channel at no charge.
About Yuru Camp△
Based on the popular manga by Afro, Yuru Camp△ follows Nadeshiko Kagamihara, a high-school girl who moves from Shizuoka to Yamanashi. Eager to see Mount Fuji — famous for appearing on Japan’s ¥1,000 note — she cycles all the way to Lake Motosu, only to be met by overcast skies. Exhausted, she falls asleep on the spot. When she wakes up it’s already dark, and she has no idea how to get home. Her unlikely saviour is Rin Shima, a solo-camping enthusiast who warms her up by a campfire and shares curry-flavoured ramen with her. The two wait together until Mount Fuji finally emerges from the clouds.
That chance encounter sparks a gentle story of friendship and everyday life, as Nadeshiko joins her school’s Outdoor Activities Club and the girls explore camping across Japan’s stunning natural landscapes — complete with mouthwatering camp-cooked meals.
The original manga launched in May 2015 and surpassed 10 million copies in circulation in 2024. The anime adaptation began in January 2018, and three seasons have aired to date. A fourth season has already been confirmed.
