Mononoke the Movie: Chapter 3 – Jagakami, the finale of the new Mononoke theatrical trilogy, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide beginning September 29.
The film opened in Japanese cinemas in May of this year, wrapping up the trilogy that began with Chapter 1 – Karakasa and Chapter 2 – Hinezumi, both of which are already streaming on Netflix.
Synopsis
Following two incidents involving mononoke within the great inner palace of Ōoku, a terrifying new mystery emerges: a maidservant is found with her body twisted and crushed, strangled to death. The Medicine Seller must now confront a mononoke that embodies the very dark history of the Ōoku itself — and finds himself pushed into the most desperate predicament he has ever faced.
Viewers can catch up on Chapter 1 – Karakasa and Chapter 2 – Hinezumi on Netflix now ahead of the trilogy’s conclusion.
