ภาพคลานอัพภาพยนตร์ Onee-chan no Midori-kun แสดงให้เห็นนักแสดงทั้งหมดรวมตัวกัน

The live-action film Onee-chan no Midori-kun, based on the manga by Meguro Amu, has announced three additional cast members and released crank-up photos featuring lead actors Hashimoto Masaki (timelesz) as Midori and Nakajima Runa as Sui, along with the rest of the ensemble.

Story

High-school girl Sui has always found Midori — her older sister’s boyfriend — annoying because he treats her like a child. But when the two end up studying together for her university entrance exams, she discovers an unexpected gentleness in him and finds herself falling in love.

New Cast Members

  • Arino Shinya (Yoiko) — Dr. Nozawa, the director of the veterinary clinic where Midori works
  • Tokita None — Hanaho, Sui’s friend from high school
  • Muratani Haruna — Mashiro, Sui’s friend from university

Cast Comments

Arino Shinya (Dr. Nozawa)

When I first got the call, I assumed I was playing Midori’s love rival, so switching gears from that image was quite the challenge (laughs). I’d heard Hashimoto Masaki was shy, but on set he ran lines with me several times, which helped me relax completely. In our one-on-one scene, I honestly wanted to hug him — he was that charming. I managed to hold back, though. There’s a chance the editing will turn me into the love rival after all. Please come see Onee-chan no Midori-kun in theatres!

Tokita None (Hanaho)

This manga was something I’d been following on my own, so finding out I could appear in the film adaptation of a series I love made me incredibly happy and excited! On set, everyone took photos together before filming to ease the nerves, and it really worked. Nakajima Runa and the whole cast were so kind. Even just watching scenes being filmed made my heart flutter. I think audiences will feel both nervous and excited as they follow the emotional journeys of all the characters.

Muratani Haruna (Mashiro)

I’ve loved romance films since I was young, so I was truly overjoyed to be part of this one. When I read the script, I felt a bittersweet frustration toward Midori, yet I was completely drawn in by how carefully each character’s emotions were written. The atmosphere on set was bright and fun, and I got to talk a lot with Nakajima Runa. I think this film will make you want to root for the honest, straightforward Sui. Please do come and see it in theatres!

Onee-chan no Midori-kun opens in Japanese cinemas on December 4.
