The official key visual for TV anime Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II (冰剣の魔術師が世界を統べるII — The Ice Blade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II) has been released. The production has also confirmed that both theme song artists from Season 1 are returning: composer Shunryu‘s music project Sizuk handles the opening theme, while singer Uchida Maaya returns for the ending theme.
Story and Background
Based on the light novel series by Mikoshiba Nana (Kodansha Ranobe Bunko), the story follows Ray = White, hailed as the world’s greatest sorcerer, who enrolls in an elite magic academy as an ordinary commoner and finds himself caught up in a conspiracy targeting sorcerers. Season 1 aired from January 2023.
In Season 2, Ray has found both companions and a place to belong. The new cour centers on the Magix War — a large-scale magical tournament fought in three-person teams — as Ray and his teammates step onto the grand stage.

“My goal was to create a song that every character in the story — and every listener — could apply to themselves and feel inspired by. For certain sections, I incorporated feedback from the director and the anime team, so it truly became something we built together. I hope it can be a source of courage for everyone who hears it.”
Uchida Maaya — Ending Theme
“I’m so happy to be handling the ending theme again after Season 1. Back then, my goal was to make an ED that could really get people pumped up, and I think this new song has surpassed that. I’m already excited to see how the anime team will bring it to life on screen — please look forward to the broadcast!”
