ชิอิคาวะ焼き รสชาติฤดูใบไม้ร่วง โมโมนกะสายไหม คุริมันจูมาร์รอน และราคโคะฟักทอง

The popular Chiikawa Yaki — fluffy, character-shaped pastries filled with sweet bean paste or cream and baked fresh in-store — is set to welcome autumn with three brand-new seasonal flavours launching from 31 August 2026.

About Chiikawa

Chiikawa is a manga series by illustrator Nagano, which originated on X (formerly Twitter). It follows the bittersweet, sometimes surprisingly tough daily lives of endearing characters including Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi. The franchise recently hit the big screen with its first-ever film, Chiikawa the Movie: Secret of the Mermaid Island, which opened on 24 July 2026 and had already earned ¥9.28 billion at the box office with 6.45 million admissions by 16 August — a massive hit generating widespread buzz on social media.

Three New Autumn-Limited Flavours

  • Momonga — Sweet Potato (¥350 incl. tax): Shaped like the flying-squirrel character Momonga, this pastry is filled with a smooth cream made from Kagoshima-grown sweet potatoes. It retains a gentle texture reminiscent of sweet potato and delivers a mild, natural sweetness inspired by classic sweet potato desserts.
  • Kurimanju — Shibukawa Marron (¥350 incl. tax): Modelled after the chestnut-bun character Kurimanju, this one is packed with brown marron cream containing whole shibukawa (skin-on) chestnuts. A hint of rum elevates the rich chestnut flavour into something elegantly sophisticated.
  • Rakko — Pumpkin (¥350 incl. tax): Shaped like the sea-otter character Rakko, this pastry features a silky pumpkin cream made from carefully selected Hokkaido pumpkins, with diced pumpkin pieces folded in for added texture and natural sweetness.
