A new YouTube short anime titled Matsuken Anime: Kore Seibai Shite mo Ii Desu ka? (Matsuken Anime: Can I Punish This?) — inspired by actor and entertainer Matsudaira Ken‘s beloved song “Matsuken Samba” — is set to launch on August 29. The series will star Matsudaira himself in the lead role, alongside voice actresses and actors Uesaka Sumire and Namikawa Daisuke.
Concept and Story
The anime follows Matsuken, a character modeled after Matsudaira Ken, and his canine partner Matsuinu, as they cheerfully “punish” the everyday frustrations and irritations (モヤモヤ, moyamoya) lurking in modern life. Animation and character design are handled by Kayac Akiba Studio.
