BIFF’s Recent History with Animation

At the 30th BIFF, held September 17–26, the festival screened the live-action adaptation of Makoto Shinkai’s anime film 5 Centimeters Per Second in its Open Cinema section.

The 29th edition of the festival featured the live-action film based on Masayuki Kusumi and Jiro Taniguchi’s manga Kodoku no Gourmet (Solitary Gourmet), the animated feature The Colors Within, and the French-Japanese co-production Ghost Cat Anzu.
