Pony Canyon announced on Friday that the television anime adaptation of Kenichi Kondō‘s manga Dark Gathering will return for a second season in 2027. The announcement was accompanied by a new visual depicting the spirit of A Dam lurking within a tunnel.
Story
The series follows Keitarō Gentōga, a young man with latent spirit-medium abilities. After accidentally involving someone else in a spirit-possession incident during junior high school, he spent more than two years as a shut-in. When he cautiously re-enters society as a private tutor, he meets the prodigious Yayoi Hōzuki, who immediately recognizes his gift and invites him to visit haunted locations. Together, the two embark on a journey to capture malevolent spirits.
