Renta! announced on Wednesday that the vertical boys-love manga Redoing My Youth In Another World -The God Of Death Is My Fanboy- (Japanese title: Seishun no Yarinaoshi wa Isekai de -Shinigami wa Ore no Koto ga Sukisugiru-), by Taiyō no Taiyō MANGA SHOKUNIN STUDIO and Hare Takizawa, is getting an “AniComi” motion comic adaptation. The series is set to begin airing on Tokyo MX in January 2027. The announcement came alongside a teaser promotional video, key visual, main cast reveal, and staff lineup.
Story
Twenty-six-year-old Makoto Fuwa is still haunted by his miserable high school years when he stumbles upon a mysterious free pass to do it all over again — only this time, his classmates are monsters, angels, and gods. The God of Death, Thanatos, can’t seem to take his eyes off Makoto, the sole human in the entire school. As it turns out, humans are in seriously high demand in this otherworldly classroom.

About AniComi and AI Use
Renta! developed the AniComi format to bring motion and sound to manga panels. For this production, the team is combining traditional motion comic techniques with generative AI technology in select shots. Renta! stated that all AI-generated assets have been manually touched up and processed — including compositing and editing — and that necessary permissions from rights holders have been secured.
About the Manga
The manga launched on Renta! in July 2024 as the platform’s first original vertical BL manga. Taiyō no Taiyō MANGA SHOKUNIN STUDIO handles the artwork, while Hare Takizawa is credited for the original story. Renta! has published four digital compiled volumes of the series to date.
