The Aniplex One Focus livestream event on Saturday lifted the curtain on a new promotional video for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Coco Uzuki‘s manga Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo), along with the announcement of two voice cast members and several key staff. The series is scheduled to air in 2027.

Story
First-year high schooler Otogi Katsura is adored by her classmates as a sweet, angelic class president — but behind that image lies a blunt, assertive personality that has no patience for bad behavior. Her counterpart, vice president Toki Ninomae, appears equally polished and perfect in everyone’s eyes.
When a group of boys tries to hit on Otogi at a train station, she lets loose her true self without hesitation — and Toki, to her surprise, is thoroughly entertained. It soon emerges that the seemingly flawless vice president has a hidden side of his own, making him all the more attractive to Otogi. The two agree to keep each other’s real personalities a secret from their classmates, but their shared secret may end up drawing them much closer together.
About the Manga
Coco Uzuki launched the manga in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in April 2023. The seventh compiled volume shipped in Japan on June 12. The series is currently on hiatus and is set to resume in November. Kodansha USA Publishing holds the English-language license.
The manga won the Kodansha Manga Awards in 2025, received a nomination for the Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2025, and has appeared in the Top 20 of Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) rankings for female readers across multiple years.
