The indoor theme park NAMJATOWN inside Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, is currently hosting a collaboration event with the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba titled Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” -Oni no Sumigai-, running from 21 August 2026.

This is the seventh annual NAMJATOWN × Kimetsu no Yaiba collaboration, and it marks the first time the demons themselves have been placed front and center. Previous events spotlighted the Demon Slayer Corps; this time, ufotable has produced all-new illustrations of the demon characters in a dark, stylish aesthetic — while NAMJATOWN’s signature cat-ear headbands make a delightful appearance on the villains as well.

Special Exhibition Area: The Demons Assemble

Entering the dedicated event zone, visitors are greeted by large-scale panel displays of the series’ most fearsome demons. Kibutsuji Muzan commands the center, flanked by Upper Rank demons Kokushibo, Douma, and Akaza, along with other iconic antagonists from the series. The atmosphere is suitably dark and imposing.

Exclusive Merchandise with New ufotable Artwork

The merchandise lineup is extensive:

• Acrylic stands (8 designs)
• Can badges (16 designs)
• Clear cards (16 designs)
• Candy-style keychains and jumbo fans
• Foil-stamped acrylic stands and acrylic storage cases (added from 2 September)

Spend 3,000 yen (tax included) or more and receive a random “cat-shaped illustration sheet” (8 designs). Mini-game prizes are also available.

Mini-Game: “Follow the Thread! Oni Omikuji”

The event zone features a digital mini-game themed around Rui, the Lower Rank Five demon known for his spider-silk threads. Players choose a thread on screen, and a member of “Rui’s family” determines which prize they receive:

• Prize A: Acrylic board
• Prize B: Acrylic keychain
• Prize C: Cat-shaped can badge
• Prize D: Die-cut sticker

All prizes feature the collab’s cat-ear headband artwork, making it hard to resist playing multiple times.

Full Collaboration with Permanent Attractions

What sets this year’s event apart from previous editions is the deep integration with NAMJATOWN’s permanent attractions — far beyond simple panel swaps or background music changes.

Sentou Quiz Donbura Q × Demon Slayer: A True Fan’s Challenge

The popular quiz ride attraction “Sentou Quiz Donbura Q” has been fully transformed with Kimetsu no Yaiba questions across beginner, intermediate, and advanced tiers. The questions are surprisingly tough, probing obscure scene details and specific numbers that will catch even dedicated fans off guard. Special voice lines recorded exclusively for this event by Tanjiro and Yushiro play throughout the ride, adding humor and warmth to the experience. Participants receive a random illustration sheet as a souvenir, with the lineup changing between the first and second halves of the event period.

Walk-Through Attraction: Stepping Inside the Mugen Train Arc

The most emotionally impactful experience in the event is a walk-through attraction set in the world of the Mugen Train Arc. NAMJATOWN’s retro Showa-era architecture proves a surprisingly perfect match for the eerie, melancholic atmosphere of the Infinity Train.

The experience begins with a conductor punching your ticket, then leads into the train car where Rengoku Kyojuro’s famous bento box is faithfully recreated. From there, visitors walk through Tanjiro’s warm, happy dream conjured by Enmu’s Blood Demon Art — and then must consciously choose to leave it behind, evoking the bittersweet emotion of that story beat.

The climax is a recreation of the battle against Enmu fused with the train. The grotesque, bulging flesh-wall aesthetic is rendered in striking physical detail, and — most impressively — the floor itself has been redesigned to feel soft and unstable underfoot, simulating the warped interior of the demon train. Combined with surround-sound voice acting from the cast, the result is genuinely spine-tingling.

Collaboration Food and Desserts

Two standout menu items were sampled during the on-site visit (available at the Tokyo/Ikebukuro venue only):

• “Together We Are Invincible” Daki & Gyutaro Japanese-Style Parfait: A visually striking parfait using green and pink ice cream to represent the sibling duo from the Entertainment District Arc. The combination of sweet potato flavor and slightly bitter matcha ice cream is a well-balanced, high-quality dessert.
• Nakime’s “Bebebeben” Peperoncino: A pasta dish named after the sound of Nakime’s biwa — the demon who controls the Infinity Castle. Rich garlic and olive oil flavors make for a deeply satisfying plate that’s hard to put down.

Ordering any collaboration menu item earns one corresponding illustration sheet (certain drinks and confectionery items excluded).
