The theatrical anime film Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai has announced a collaboration with the Fujisawa Enoshima Fireworks Festival, set to take place on October 17 at Katase Nishihama beach in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Fireworks Set to Series Music, with a Special Announcement from Sakurajima Mai
The highlight of the evening will be a fireworks display running from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., choreographed to music from the Seishun Buta Yarou series. During the display, audiences will also hear a special on-site announcement voiced by Sakurajima Mai, the beloved heroine of the franchise. The entire event will be broadcast live on Radio Shonan and J:COM TV for those unable to attend in person.
Collaboration Posters Across Fujisawa Starting October 9
From October 9, collaboration posters featuring visuals from both the film and the fireworks festival will be displayed at multiple locations, including:
- Enoshima island
- Fujisawa City Hall
- Fujisawa City Tourism Center
- Katase Enoshima Tourist Information Office
- Katase Subana Street
- All Odakyu Electric Railway stations from Katase-Enoshima to Chuo-Rinkan
The Series Finale Hits Theaters on October 16
Opening in cinemas on October 16 — one day before the fireworks event — Dear Friend serves as the concluding chapter of the entire Seishun Buta Yarou anime series. The film promises to finally unravel the mystery of “Puberty Syndrome” (思春期症候群), the inexplicable phenomenon that has driven the story throughout the franchise.
