The official Final PV for the theatrical anime film Saishu Gakusho Hibike! Euphonium (Final Movement: Sound! Euphonium) — Part Two — has been released, marking an emotional farewell to a franchise that has spanned over eleven years.
A Journey’s End for Kitauji’s Wind Ensemble
Hibike! Euphonium is a Kyoto Animation anime series based on the novels by Takeda Ayano (Takarajimasha Bunko). The story follows the wind ensemble club of Kitauji High School, and this concluding film brings the long-running saga to its final resolution.
The Final PV centers on the interplay between three key characters: Kumiko Oumae, the club president and protagonist; Reina Kousaka, her close friend serving as drum major; and Mayu Kuroe, a transfer student and rival to Kumiko. It captures the inner conflicts, resolve, and bonds forged among club members as they chase a gold medal at the national competition.
The PV draws on some of the series’ most memorable moments — including Kumiko and Reina sharing tears atop Mt. Daikichi, and Kumiko pouring her heart out to her fellow club members — weaving together a tapestry that shows how the spirit of Kitauji’s ensemble has been passed down from senior to junior, and now onward to the next generation.
