The new manga series 侯爵令嬢ヴィオレットは今日も元気に高笑う (Marquis’ Daughter Violette Laughs Heartily Again Today), drawn by Urita Nohito and based on the original novel by Fumizuki Kuro, officially launched on October 2.
Synopsis
Violette Aimée Scherenburg, daughter of a marquis, arrives one day in a small, nature-surrounded rural village. Rumor has it that she offended a saint, incurred the wrath of a prince, had her engagement broken off, and was subsequently expelled from the royal capital.
With neither commerce nor agriculture flourishing, the villagers assume the settlement will be nothing short of a prison for the high-born young woman. They couldn’t be more wrong.
Driven by what can only be described as “selfishness,” Violette sets about repairing a broken bridge, upgrading the local inn’s facilities, and steadily improving life in the village — all while laughing triumphantly. What looks like willful indulgence turns out to be exactly what the struggling community needed.
