Bandai’s official e-commerce platform Premium Bandai is now accepting pre-orders for the Dragon Ball World Collectable Figure PREMIUM -Tenkaichi Budokai Set-, priced at ¥29,700 (tax included). The set is scheduled to ship in March 2027, and purchasers will earn 297 reward points.
A Franchise Spanning Four Decades
Dragon Ball, created by Akira Toriyama, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984 and became a cornerstone of the magazine’s golden era. An anime adaptation followed in 1986, eventually expanding into Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Kai, and Dragon Ball Super — a franchise beloved by fans around the world for decades.
The 2022 film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero topped the box office in both Japan and the United States during its opening weekend. Most recently, the all-new series Dragon Ball DAIMA — for which Toriyama handled the original concept, story, and character designs — aired its full 20-episode run beginning in October 2024. Looking ahead, the TV anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is set to begin broadcasting on the Fuji TV network in autumn 2026.
Recreating the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai Final
Part of the long-running BANPRESTO World Collectable Figure brand that launched in 2009, this new set brings the final match of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai to life across five pre-painted figures. Highlights include Son Goku’s Monkey Fist (猿拳) pose, Jackie Chun’s Drunken Fist (酔拳), and an impressively sized Great Ape — Goku’s transformed form during the climactic bout. The set is rounded out by the tournament announcer and a detailed replica of the Tenkaichi Budokai arena itself.
