THE FIRST TAKE YouTube channel has announced the details of its 714th release, marking the debut appearance of Japanese rock band 忘れらんねえよ (Wasureranneeyo) on the platform.
“Ai Love Iu” — A Love Song Boosted by Manga Fame
Originally released in 2022, 「アイラブ言う」 (“Ai Love Iu”) gained renewed attention after it was performed by protagonist Hatocchi (Hatono Chihiro) and her friends in Chapter 96 — the joint-live arc — of ふつうの軽音部 (Futsuu no Keionbu / The Ordinary Light Music Club), serialised in Shonen Jump+. A collaboration music video released to celebrate the manga’s 11th collected volume also generated significant buzz. The song is described as an ultimate love song — a bold, wholehearted declaration of affection.
For their THE FIRST TAKE performance, Wasureranneeyo will be joined by support musicians, presenting the track in a full-band one-take format.
Premiere Details
The video 「忘れらんねえよ – アイラブ言う / THE FIRST TAKE」 will premiere on YouTube on Friday, 9 October at 22:00 JST.
The band shared a comment ahead of the release:
“This place has always been a dream for us. We’ve been dying to perform here. We finally made it. Thanks.”
