The Girls und Panzer franchise is expanding on two fronts, with D3Publisher and G Holdings each announcing a brand-new game based on the beloved tank-battle anime series.
Girls und Panzer: All-Star Tank Carnival (Nintendo Switch 2)
D3Publisher is developing Girls und Panzer: All-Star Tank Carnival, slated for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan in 2027. The project is being handled by the same team behind the Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match PlayStation 4 game. The title will center on player-controlled tank battles and will also let players take control of Miho to explore a recreation of the story’s Ōarai town — itself modeled on the real-life town of Ōarai in Japan. A trailer has already been released.
Girls und Panzer: Bokosuka Rush (Smartphone)
G Holdings is developing the smartphone game Girls und Panzer: Bokosuka Rush (abbreviated Garusuka). No release date has been announced yet. The game is set inside the “Boko Museum” featured in the Girls und Panzer der Film anime movie, where Miho and Alice visit and try out a “tank simulator,” only to find themselves facing Boko as an enemy. Players will be able to mix and match crew members and tanks, with crew growing stronger over time and unlocking new abilities for their vehicles.
Series Background
The previous entry in the game series, Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match, launched for PS4 in Japan and Southeast Asia (with English text support) in February 2018. The expanded Dream Tank Match DX version for Nintendo Switch followed in February 2019 in the same markets.
