Gundam fashion label STRICT-G is releasing a new line of four ripstop jackets drawn from two beloved entries in the franchise: Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Pre-orders open on Premium Bandai on October 9 at 1:00 p.m. JST, with general retail sales beginning October 17, 2026.
About the Gundam Franchise
The Mobile Suit Gundam series has been running for over 45 years since its 1979 debut, spanning TV series, theatrical films, OVAs, manga, novels, games, and plastic model kits. The franchise is known for its weighty portrayal of war, politics, and human drama set against large-scale mobile suit battles.
Char’s Counterattack Jackets — Two Designs
Two jackets are inspired by Char’s Counterattack:
- Amuro Ray Model — Color scheme based on the RX-93 νGundam (Nu Gundam), rendered in white.
- Char Aznable Model — Inspired by the MSN-04 Sazabi, in red.
Each jacket is priced at ¥12,100 (tax included) and is available in sizes M, L, XL, and XXL.
Gundam SEED Jackets — Two Designs
The Gundam SEED lineup features two jackets:
- Earth Alliance Model — Blue colorway evoking the Earth Alliance military uniform.
- Z.A.F.T. Model — Burgundy colorway representing the Z.A.F.T. forces.
Both designs feature embroidered patches on the sleeves and are priced at ¥14,300 (tax included), also in sizes M, L, XL, and XXL.
Materials
All four jackets use a lightweight yet durable ripstop fabric ideal for layering over a T-shirt. The outer shell is 100% polyester, accent fabric is 85% polyester / 15% polyurethane, and the lining is 100% polyester. Manufactured in China.

Pre-orders are accepted via the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai from October 9 (1:00 p.m.) through October 15 (11:00 p.m.) JST. General sales launch October 17, 2026 at the following STRICT-G physical locations:
