Story
Gakuro Yajima has been able to see spirits his entire life — entities drawn to human sadness and anger. His quiet, solitary existence is upended when he stumbles into a sealed room and encounters Nue, an eccentric, pop-culture-obsessed spirit who enlists him to take down the malevolent spirits haunting their school. Gakuro is reluctant, but the spirits aren’t about to give him time to think it over.
About the Manga
Kawae launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2023. The 16th compiled volume was published on September 4, while Viz Media released the eighth English-language volume on September 1. The series is also available digitally through Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform.
The manga’s popularity was underscored at AnimeJapan 2025, where it topped the event’s poll for “Manga We Want to See Animated.”
