Volume 1 of Ikemen Joshi demo Kawaii Heroine ni Naremasu ka? (Can Even an Ikemen Girl Become a Cute Heroine?), the new romantic comedy manga by Tsumiki Tsuki, went on sale today, October 15, published by Flex Comix.
Story
The series follows Himeno Mikage, a high school student who has just made her debut as a manga artist — but is struggling to get a serialization greenlit. Her editor points out that her male characters are too one-note, prompting Himeno to take an interest in her classmate Sumeragi Tsukasa, a girl so strikingly handsome she’s earned the nickname “too cool for school,” who also works as an actor.
Just as Himeno is thinking of approaching Tsukasa for inspiration, she spots her reading one of her manga at school — and is then floored when Tsukasa asks: “Won’t you make me your princess (heroine)?” That unexpected request sets the lesson-filled love comedy in motion. The manga runs in COMIC Meteor.
