A special collaboration between manga Hotaru no Yomeiri and Keikyu Electric Railway, titled 「Hotaru no Yomeiri ～Ai ga Susumu, Omoi Kasanaru.～」, launched on October 19 to celebrate the release of the series’ final volume 13 and the spin-off volume Hotaru no Yomeiri Gaiden ―Hitokiri to Yōdō― by author Tachibana Oreko.
KEIKYU YELLOW HAPPY TRAIN Wrapped in Hotaru no Yomeiri Art
Running through November 6, Keikyu’s special-livery KEIKYU YELLOW HAPPY TRAIN has been taken over by Hotaru no Yomeiri. Passengers will find hanging car cards (中吊り) featuring newly drawn artwork of Satsuko and Shinpei created exclusively for this collaboration by Tachibana, alongside posters showcasing memorable scenes and lines from the series, and posters incorporating real mizuhiki decorative cord.
The mizuhiki is tied in an awaji-musubi knot — a style that tightens the more you pull on both ends — symbolizing the wishes “to remain together forever” and “for a couple never to be parted.” The choice reflects the bond between Satsuko and Shinpei in the story, as well as the enduring connection between the work and its fans.

Tachibana Oreko’s New Series Coming to Manga ONE This Winter
The event also brought the first hint of Tachibana Oreko’s next manga series. While the title has not yet been announced, the new work is confirmed to begin serialization on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE platform this winter. A piece of character illustration from the upcoming series has been released to give fans an early look.
About Hotaru no Yomeiri
Hotaru no Yomeiri is a romantic suspense manga set in the Meiji era, following Kirigaya Satsuko, a young noblewoman who dreams of marrying into a distinguished family to make her father proud, and Gotō Shinpei, an assassin who is utterly devoted to her. The series ran on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE from January 1, 2023 and concluded this past January.
Limited-Edition Luxury BOX Set
To mark the series’ conclusion, a limited-production luxury BOX Set is now available for pre-order at participating bookstores, priced at ¥37,400 (tax included). The set compiles all 13 volumes into a refined 7-volume edition with careful attention to paper quality and texture, bound in a codex-style binding inspired by traditional Japanese bookmaking. In addition to the main story, it includes bonus chapters, 10 pages of all-new manga drawn by Tachibana, and a replica of “Satsuko’s Letter” as an insert. The set is scheduled for release on April 27, 2027.
