It has been confirmed that Watashitachi wa Mutsu Renai ga Shitai ~Kagiari Joshi to Hoshikuzu Danshi to Femi Ojisan~, the manga by Yukari Takinami, will be adapted into a streaming drama series. The announcement was made via a band on the cover of the manga’s latest volume.
About the Story
The series follows Minami, a woman in her twenties who can only express her true feelings through a private, locked social media account (鍵垢). Her life takes a new turn when she encounters a man known as a “femi-ojisan” — a middle-aged man with feminist sensibilities — setting the story in motion.
Publication Details
The manga runs on Kodansha’s web manga platform &Sofa. Volume 1 was released on May 23, 2022, and Volume 9 — in which the streaming drama adaptation was announced — went on sale on October 22, 2026.
Further details on the drama adaptation, including cast, director, and release date, have not yet been revealed. More information is expected to follow in future announcements.
